Under Italian Syrian cooperation, the classical section of the archaeological museum of Damascus will be closed for restoration from the first February 2010. Works are expected to last about one year. The frescoes of the Doura Europos synagogue and tombs of three brothers Yerhai will no longer be accessible. Major pieces will be however displayed in the main hall of the museum.
