Hosn Souleiman, located 23 km from Safita. It is a religious centre dating many millennia back. The building we see today dates back from the Roman era and was built on a Semitic - cannanean temple dedicated to a local version of god Baal whose worship was mixed to its Greek equivalent Zeus under the name of Zeus Baotocecien. The association of gigantism of the building, its aesthetics surrounding, and its quite and beautiful landscape is impressive.
